US attorney to watch votes

United States Attorney David L. Huber announced today that Thomas W. Dyke, an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Kentucky, will lead the efforts of his Office in the connection with the Justice Department's nationwide Election Day Program for the upcoming November 7, 2006 general elections.

AUSA Dyke has served as the District Election Officer for the Western District of Kentucky since 2002.

In that capacity he is responsible for overseeing the District's handling of complaints of election fraud and voting rights abuses in consultation with Justice Department Headquarters.

United States Attorney Huber said, “The Department of Justice and the United States Attorney's Office consider Election fraud and voting rights abuses to be very serious matters.
